Edit a text message or the caption on an image or video after it has been sent. The message updates inline with an “Edited” label.

Steps

Open the chat

Navigate to the conversation containing the message.

Open message actions

Hover over the message and open the actions menu.

Click Edit

The edit modal opens with the current text and a live bubble preview.

Make your changes

Update the text or caption. The preview updates as you type.

Confirm

Save the edit. The message updates in place and shows an “Edited” label in the thread.

Tips

  • Works on both text messages and captions on images or videos.
  • The live preview shows exactly how the message will look before you confirm.
  • You can only edit messages your team sent — not messages from the contact.
