- The contact already exists
Steps

Open Contacts
Navigate to the contacts module.

Open the contact
Click the contact you want to edit.

Click Edit
Switch into edit mode.

Update fields
Change name, phone, tags, or any other field.

Save
Confirm the change.
Tips
- Editing a contact does not affect prior chats - those remain attached.
- If the phone number changes, expect a new chat thread to start when the customer next messages.
