# Edit a template

> Update an existing template.

Edit a template to fix a typo, refresh the wording, or swap out media.

## Steps

    Open the editor.

    Change the body, buttons, list items, media, or visibility.

    The change applies to anyone who uses the template going forward.

## Tips

* Test edited templates in a chat before relying on them in a campaign.
* Templates already inside running campaigns may use the previous version - clone the campaign to pick up the new template if needed.
