# Create a button template

> Save a template with action buttons recipients can tap.

Buttons turn your message into a one-tap action - perfect for confirmations, replies, or links.

## Before you start

* The message body and the labels you want on each button

## Steps

    Navigate to the templates module.

    Open the template builder.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose Button">
    Pick the button type.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the message">
    Type the body customers will see above the buttons.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add buttons">
    Enter button labels. Each button can be a quick reply or a URL action depending on type.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set visibility">
    Choose public or private.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save">
    The template is ready to use.
  </Step>

## Tips

* Keep button labels short - 1 to 3 words.
* Make each button distinct so recipients can pick at a glance.
