# Search and filter the kanban board

> Use per-column search and the board-level filter chips.

The kanban board offers two layers of filtering so you can focus on the cards that matter.

## Per-column search

* Each column has its own search box.
* Filters cards inside that column only.
* Useful when one column is dense and others are not.

## Board filter

* Filters every column at once.
* Filter by phone, tags, or quick filters (saved combinations).
* Active filters appear as chips at the top of the board.

## Steps

    Navigate to the kanban module.

    Type into a column search to filter inside it.

    Open the filter panel for board-wide filtering.

    The chips strip at the top shows what filters are active.

    Click a chip to remove that filter.

## Tips

* Tag filtering is the most powerful for large boards - tag chats during campaigns to make this easy later.
* Use board filters for status reviews ("show me everything tagged VIP across all columns").
