# Add or pick a chat into the board

> Add a new chat or pull an existing chat into the kanban board.

The kanban board can show every chat that has a stage assigned - but you can also add chats from inside the board itself.

## Add a new chat

    Navigate to the kanban module.

  <Step title="Click Add chat">
    Open the modal.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose New chat">
    Enter a phone number to start a new conversation.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick a stage">
    Place it in the correct column.
  </Step>

## Pick an existing chat

    Navigate to the kanban module.

  <Step title="Click Add chat">
    Open the modal.
  </Step>

    Search and select a chat.

    Place it in the correct column.
