# Use a quick reply in chat

> Trigger a saved quick reply from the chat input.

Quick replies cut down on repetitive typing. Use them inline from the chat input without leaving the conversation.

## Before you start

* At least one quick reply saved (see [Quick replies](/docs/product/quick-replies))

## Steps

    Navigate to the conversation.

    Or use the keyboard shortcut if available.

    Choose from shared (org-wide) or personal replies.

* Use shared replies for messages your whole team should send consistently.
