# Delete a campaign

> Remove a campaign from the list.

Delete a campaign you no longer need to track.

## Before you start

* Permission to delete campaigns
* The campaign is not currently running (cancel first if it is)

## Steps

    Navigate to the campaigns module.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Find the campaign">
    Locate it in the list.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the actions menu">
    Click delete.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm">
    The campaign is removed.
  </Step>

## Tips

* Deletion is permanent. If you want a record but do not want it cluttering your list, archive or rename instead where supported.
