# Invite a user

> Invite a teammate to your organization and resend invites if needed.

Add the people who need access. Each invite is delivered by email and tied to a role.

## Before you start

* The teammate email address
* The role you want to assign (default or custom - see [Create a role](/docs/getting-started/users-and-roles/create-role))

## Steps

  <Step title="Open Account -> Users">
    Navigate to the users page.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Invite user">
    Open the invite modal.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the email and pick a role">
    Fill in the form.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send the invite">
    Clapvo emails the user a link to accept.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Wait for acceptance">
    Once accepted, the user appears as a member of your organization.
  </Step>

## Tips

* If an invite expires, click **Resend invite** from the user list.
* You can change a user role at any time after they join.
